Terms of Service

Last updated October 14, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Starlite Learning (“Starlite,” “we,” “us”) for using starlitelearning.com and the Starlite app on the web, iOS, and Android (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Starlite

You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add. Children use Starlite only through a student login their parent creates, and the parent is responsible for that child’s use of the Service.

2. Your account

  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password and your children’s passwords private. You are responsible for activity under your account and its student logins.
  • Student logins are for the children in your household that you add. Please don’t share them with others.
  • Tell us right away at [contact email] if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

3. What Starlite is, and isn’t

Starlite provides lessons, practice, and progress tracking to support your child’s education. You remain in charge of your child’s schooling. We do not guarantee particular learning results, and it is your responsibility to make sure your homeschool meets the requirements of your state. Our curriculum is aligned to the standards we name, but using Starlite does not by itself satisfy any state’s legal requirements.

4. AI-generated content

Starlo, the tutor inside Starlite, and many lesson activities are generated by AI. Our own math engine writes and checks math problems and grades answers, but AI can still make mistakes or say something unexpected. Please stay involved in your child’s learning, and let us know if you see anything wrong or inappropriate so we can fix it.

5. Plans, billing, and cancellation

  • Subscriptions. Paid plans are billed per student, in advance, through Stripe, and renew automatically each billing period until you cancel.
  • Canceling. You can cancel anytime from your Account page. Your student keeps access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. [Refunds: we don’t offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where the law requires them.]
  • Price changes. We’ll tell you before a price change takes effect, and you can cancel before it applies to you.
  • Free beta. If you’re selected for the free beta, Starlite is free for the beta period. When the beta ends, beta student accounts are paused unless you choose a paid plan.
  • Waitlist discount. Any waitlist or promotional discount applies as described when it was offered.

6. Using Starlite responsibly

Please don’t:

  • use Starlite for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass, or exploit anyone;
  • try to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, or disrupt or overload the Service;
  • copy, scrape, resell, or reverse engineer the Service or its content; or
  • add content you don’t have the right to use.

7. Content and ownership

Starlite, including its lessons, activities, characters, artwork, and software, belongs to us and our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your family’s homeschooling while your account is in good standing. You keep ownership of anything you add, such as your own course topics, and you let us use it only to run the Service for you.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Starlite and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts children or the Service at risk. If we close an account for any other reason, we’ll refund any prepaid time you haven’t used.

9. Disclaimers

We work hard to make Starlite reliable and accurate, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we don’t promise the Service will always be available or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Starlite is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [state], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in [county, state], unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Starlite grows. We’ll post changes here and update the date at the top, and we’ll email you about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using Starlite after that, the new terms apply.
